Unboxing the Aldi Kamado Grill: Is it Worth the Hype?

Barbecue DIY

Introduction

I’ve been on the lookout for a good outdoor grill for a while now, ever since my cousin treated us to a roast dinner cooked in their Big Green Egg. For those of you who aren’t aware, Big Green Egg is the industry leader in these camardo outdoor ovens. They are well-built, popular, extremely flexible, and efficient. However, they’re also extremely expensive, with a price point of about 1300 pounds. I was hoping that Aldi would do their usual trick of producing a quality product at a much more sensible price point.

The Aldi Kamado Grill

This Aldi Kamado Grill actually came in at just under 400 pounds, plus 10 pounds for shipping. After unpacking it and building it, I have to say I’m actually very impressed so far. 400 pounds is still a lot of money for a barbecue, but this feels like 400 pounds worth of barbecue. Of course, you could spend a thousand pounds more if you go for something like the Big Green Egg.

Build Quality

The build quality is impressive, and it comes with a three-year warranty, which is pretty good. It also comes with a lot of accessories, although I have no idea what half of this stuff does at the moment. I should be reading the book!

Conclusion

Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase of the Aldi Commando Grill. I will be making more videos on it in the future, so if you’d like to see that, please do subscribe and hit the notification bell. Give us a thumbs up, and I’ll see you on the next video! Take care.
