Hello and welcome to another Artful Bodger video! Today, I’m going to show you how to turn a rolled-up mattress into a full-size double bed. If you saw our last video on building the IKEA MALM double bed, you’ll be excited to know that we’re putting a VADSO mattress on top of it.
The VADSO mattress is an interesting product, as it’s almost too cheap for the quality you get. The reason for this is that a lot of the costs involved in a mattress are actually transport and storage, but IKEA has found a way to make a full double mattress fit into a compact space by sucking the air out. This makes the VADSO mattress not only cost-effective but also very satisfying to unpack.
Exciting Unboxing
I have a pair of scissors here, and it’s time to unbox the VADSO mattress. Watch as I reveal the mattress, which is compactly packaged in a small box. To my surprise, the mattress starts to unfold itself as soon as I cut the packaging open. Although the mattress comes with instructions, by the time you get to the instructions, the mattress has already assembled itself.
